This position reports to the Head of TDT

Responsibilities
  • Initiating and implementing continuous improvement projects across the TDT network to improve efficiency and reduce cost;
  • Operationalizing new business development initiatives within the TDT network;
  • Support with developing and/or improving the health and safety plans, programmes and procedures in the TDT network;
  • Auditing operational teams against approved systems;
  • Coordinating changes required in the Takealot Pickup Point network in support of business expansion;
  • Investigating, establishing and implementing standardized resources across the TDT network;
  • Working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to optimise total delivery lead-time and logistics cost; and
  • Active Stakeholder Management by ensuring clear communication channels are maintained between all parties involved in improvement projects.
Attributes required
  • Logistics supply chain experience;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to interpret complex operational environments, identify problem areas and project manage the implementation of leading edge solutions;
  • Quantitative analytical capability, with a strong grasp of management and cost accounting principles and metrics;
  • Good leadership and team development skills; and
  • High degree of personal motivation and resilience.
