Job description

You're looking to embed yourself in projects of different sizes and become part of a team that's shaping the landscape across NSW.

You're ready to play an essential role behind the scenes by providing vital support to ensure seamless project execution and to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation.

In this role, you'll:

Work as part of the Project Services North team responsible for the development, management, and implementation of transport infrastructure projects to achieve Transport for NSW and Government road safety, asset management, and network efficiency objectives. The role will sit within the Project Services North (Hunter) team and operate as a dedicated resource to develop and deliver bridge maintenance and rehabilitation packages of work, to be delivered by Regional Road Network Maintenance teams, Councils, or by contract engagements managed by Project Services.

This is a temporary full-time position until March 2027, onsite at our Newcastle office.

About you

You have a proven history of seeking and gaining relevant internal and external approvals necessary for bridge rehabilitation projects. You demonstrate ability in analyzing infrastructure information, interpreting plans and geotechnical reports, and conducting surveys, estimating, budgeting, and scheduling. You are proactive, analytical, and possess high-level communication skills. Managing time effectively and working collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver results is paramount, as is your commitment to safety and quality.

You hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in the investigation, development, and delivery of bridge projects across diverse structure types, including concrete, steel, heritage timber, and iron (wrought and cast), including rehabilitation projects. You have a valid Australian motor vehicle driver license and a four-year civil engineering degree.
