POSITION :

Project and Data Engineer
BRANCH : Head Office, Epping, Cape Town
BOLTFAST, a leading distributor of Industrial Fasteners, is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project and Data Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for operational and engineering improvement.
• Generate data‑driven insights and reports to inform decision‑making at various levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop and implement data‑driven strategies aligned with company objectives.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of data visualization tools and dashboards for performance monitoring.
• Work closely with the Engineering and Project Manager and data team to provide data‑driven recommendations for process optimization.
• Identify and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track departmental performance.
• Contribute to the development of business intelligence solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
• Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Effective communication skills to convey complex data findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Above‑average command of English is required.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks, demonstrating self‑motivation and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
• Strong personal qualities, including honesty, reliability, responsibility, trustworthiness, and maturity.
