Project Administrator

Well-known, dynamic Project Management Consulting company in Pretoria is looking for a driven, motivated Project Administrator.

The successful incumbent must have own transport and valid driver's license, willing to travel to site.

Relevant Project Admin / Management qualification is an advantage.

3-5 years experience of Project Administration in construction / mining and / or engineering environments is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements
  • Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flows and preliminary schedules
  • Prepare project organization and communication charts
  • Attend project progress meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members
  • Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor project plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures to assist the PM in the general administration of the Project
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team
  • Ensure clients' needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Administer field inspection reports from Consultants throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Issue Contracts, Letters of Intent, Purchase Orders, etc.
  • Maintain Contract Execution Tracking Log
  • Assist the PM in the review of Contractor documentation and communication
  • Track & manage contemplated change notices and change orders
  • Prepare substantial completion certificates and ensure all required project close-out documents are obtained
  • Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Own car and valid driver's license
  • Clean credit and criminal record
  • Qualification in Project Management / Admin (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in Project Admin / Project Support Office
  • Experience in mining, construction and / or engineering projects essential
  • Experience in Enterprise Project Management (EPM) or MS Project recommended
  • Experience in SAP advantageous
