An established and reputable managed IT solutions partner, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Administrator to join our professional services team. We specialise in providing end‑to‑end IT infrastructure solutions and support for South African businesses. We are looking for an administrative specialist who is adept at facilitating technical delivery, bridging communication, and ensuring project governance.

This is a critical full‑time role for an individual experienced in the dynamics of IT project delivery. You will be responsible for coordinating project activities, managing timelines, and ensuring clear communication across technical teams, vendors, and clients from initiation through completion.

Your Role as Strategic Coordinator

The successful candidate will be key to the efficient execution of technical projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.

  • Project Governance: Manage and support IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to established timelines and project deliverables.
  • Communication Bridge: Serve as the central point of contact, liaising effectively with clients to communicate project tasks, expectations, and timelines.
  • Administrative Oversight: Maintain accurate project documentation and administrative records, tracking progress using provided systems and ensuring tasks are completed.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare regular status reports for stakeholders and ensure all project documentation complies with organisational requirements.
  • Issue Resolution: Promptly identify and resolve issues, coordinating resolution across multiple internal and external departments.
  • Coordination: Support multiple projects simultaneously, including coordinating meetings, agendas, and follow‑up actions.
Required Skills and Experience
  • A matriculation certificate is required.
  • Degree, diploma or certification in Project Management, or a related field is advantageous.
  • 2‑4 years of experience in IT project management or project administration.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and internal teams.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or similar).

Compensation & Benefits
  • Cost to company (CTC) between R25,000 and R30,000, dependent on qualifications, experience and skill level.
  • Medical aid (50% paid by company, 50% by employee) after the successful completion of probation.
  • Reimbursement for company travel and a company‑provided laptop.
