LearningMate is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as an Educational Content Writer for a college‑level Intermediate Accounting course.

This role involves working with a team to develop clear, engaging, and accessible content for an asynchronous distance learning model. Content must be written in such a way that it is clear, engaging, and accessible to all types of learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with an experienced team on the development of intermediate accounting course content.
  • Follow provided client guidelines when reviewing content.
  • Revise content based on feedback and as needed.
  • Use provided templates to ensure consistency in all materials.
  • Create scenarios, case studies, and other items to support assessments.
  • Write assessment questions using a variety of question types.
Requirements
  • Strong command of both written and verbal English.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Accounting).
  • Experience writing content specifically for online courses.
  • Familiarity with educational theories, such as Situated Learning Theory, Adult Learning Theory, and Universal Design for Learning.
