Job summary

Mediclinic Louis Leipoldt in Bellville, Cape Town is seeking a Professional Nurse to lead a multi-professional team and deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care within your scope of practice. You will coordinate care to optimise patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities include accurate nursing documentation, developing and adjusting care plans, infection prevention, patient assessment, and contributing to staff development while ensuring stock and equipment are correctly charted.

Qualifications

• Essential: Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or 4-year Nursing Diploma/Bachelor of Nursing.
• Postgraduate qualifications in midwifery or relevant area are desirable for specialist units.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Professional Nurse, in collaboration with a multi-professional team, delivers safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care according to their Scope of Practice regulations. They lead and coordinate nursing teams to enable optimal patient care.

Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g. Critical Care, Emergency Care, Peri-oprative Nursing) if place in a specialist unit
