Job summary

Mediclinic Klein Karoo in Oudtshoorn, South Africa, is recruiting a Professional Nurse to lead nursing teams and deliver safe, quality patient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires registration as a General Nurse (Diploma or 4-year/BSN) and may include advanced postgraduate qualifications. You will maintain accurate records, support staff development, and ensure stock and equipment are properly charted.

Qualifications

• Diploma leading to registration as a General Nurse or a 4-year Nursing Diploma or Bachelor of Nursing.
• Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Midwifery is desirable.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (Critical Care, Emergency, Peri-operative) desirable.
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office) required or advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to develop/modify a nursing care plan and maintain nursing records.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

The Professional Nurse, in collaboration with a multi-professional team, delivers safe, comprehensive, and quality nursing care according to their Scope of Practice regulations. They lead and coordinate nursing teams to enable optimal patient care.

Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing (e.g. Critical Care, Emergency Care, Peri-oprative Nursing) if place in a specialist unit
