Overview

Hire Resolve’s client is seeking a Professional Civil Engineer or Technologist to join their team in Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, designing, and overseeing civil engineering projects from start to finish.
  • Drafting and preparing tender documents.
  • Generating various reports throughout project phases (Project Inception, Concept and Viability, Design, tender evaluation, progress, financial, close-out, etc).
  • Daily management and administration of civil engineering projects.
  • Addressing technical inquiries and resolving issues, leading Site and Technical Meetings, and documenting minutes.
  • Managing financial aspects of construction contracts.
  • Regular communication with professionals and clients.
  • Assisting with project safety and environmental compliance during construction.
  • Handling general office and project-related administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ postgraduate experience in civil engineering project planning, design, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Office Project.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, especially ACC, is advantageous.
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
