Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 Matric
- 1–2 years of experience in a commercial production
- Prior experience as a production Supervisor
- Ability to manage production operations, staff scheduling, and inventory control
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of fruit & vegetable preparation standards, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervision: Overseeing the production staff
- Delegating duties to the staff
- Monitoring cutting, quality, storage, hygiene, machinery and equipment, utensils during shifts
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and always organized
- Stock Control: Ensure that the correct stock is cut, labelled and packed; ensure the process first in first out (FIFO)
- Report stock shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately to the production manager
- Administration: Ensure that the cutting sheet is printed and distributed accordingly, batch numbers recorded on cutting sheets
- Verify that all documentation is completed correctly and submitted on time to the production manager
- Carry out any other reasonable instruction given by those in authority
- Ensure strict adherence to all Simply Fresh Produce policies, procedures and code of conduct
- Promote teamwork, discipline, and compliance within the department
- Lead by example and always uphold the company's standards
