We are currently seeking a highly capable Shift Supervisor to join our Converting production team, in Chloorkop.

Overview

PURPOSE :

Reporting to the Production & Factory Manager, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting strategic operational goals, driving productivity, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the converting factory.

The incumbent will take full ownership of shift operations—managing resources, ensuring consistent product quality, enforcing safety, and housekeeping standards, and leading the team to meet daily production targets while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full converting process, ensuring shift targets are met with zero defects.
  • Maintain product quality, safety, and compliance with SHERQ standards.
  • Lead and manage production personnel, including attendance, discipline, and on-shift coaching.
  • Ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules.
  • Assist with machine changeovers and support Short Interval Control to keep processes stable.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and execute CIL (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication) routines.
  • Accurately update and manage all production data and reporting.
  • Act as a mini business manager, promoting proactive maintenance practices and a sense of ownership over equipment.
  • Promote adherence to Manufacturing Excellence practices, including DMS, intranet tools, and check sheets.
