Job Description
We are is seeking a Production Quantity Surveyor to manage and deliver a large, multi-project programme on behalf of a client. The role focuses on programme management, commercial administration, procurement, and contract oversight (JBCC and NEC), with strong emphasis on cash flow, schedule adherence, governance, and audit readiness.
Programme and Project Management
- Manage allocated projects to meet programme and cash flow targets.
- Draft, review, and monitor project cash flows and programmes.
- Meet deadlines and maintain an accurate, up-to-date document repository.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly filed and accessible.
Procurement and Stakeholder Management
- Manage procurement of contractors and professional service providers (PSPs).
- Oversee appointment processes and performance of consultants and contractors.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Contract and Commercial Management
- Administer contracts (JBCC and NEC) in line with processes and protocols.
- Review, verify, and endorse contractor payment certificates and invoices.
- Review, verify, and endorse PSP fee claims and invoices.
- Manage appointments, variations / additional fees, and related approvals.
- Review and endorse financial aspects of Contract Instructions, Compensation Events, and Extensions of Time.
- Support successful completion of external audits.
Governance and Administration
- Ensure compliance with organisational procedures and quality standards.
- Keep programme records, data, and reporting accurate and audit-ready.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as reasonably required.
- Operate under the guidance of a Programme Manager.
Decision-Making Authority
- Escalate project risks and issues on time.
- Ensure integrity of data collected, collated, and submitted.
- Make operational decisions within scope of responsibilities.
- Drive adherence to programme schedule and budget.
Delegated Responsibilities
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Ensure timely processing of all submitted invoices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
- Professional Registration with SACQSP.
Experience
- Experience in a professional consulting QS environment.
- Proven experience in contract administration and financial administration (JBCC and NEC).
- Programme / Project Management exposure is advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-registration experience.
