Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and workshop teams to ensure efficient resource allocation.
- Analyse project specifications and prepare accurate cost estimates, including materials, labour, and overheads.
- Monitor project progress, adjusting schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
- Identify potential delays or bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain records of production metrics and cost data for future project planning.
- Liaise with clients and suppliers where required to clarify requirements or obtain quotations.
Requirements
- Qualifications : Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Experience : Minimum 38 years in production planning and / or cost estimation within heavy engineering or fabrication (preferably in industrial fans, pressure vessels, or similar).
- Skilled and knowledgeable in relevant engineering standards and specifications applicable to pressure vessels, welding, fabrication, and quality control.
- Proficiency in MS Office and production planning software (ERP / MRP systems advantageous).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and lead times.
- Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
