About the Role

Our client, a prominent manufacturing firm, is seeking a Skilled Production Operator to join their facility in Mahikeng, North West. This role involves operating various machinery and equipment to produce goods according to specifications, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with different production machinery, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This is a hands‑on position that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively as part of a production team. You will be crucial to the daily operations at their Mahikeng, North West plant. This role is fundamental to the successful output of manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor various production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow production schedules and instructions to ensure products are manufactured to specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine checks on machinery to ensure it is in good working order and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
• Conduct quality checks on products during the production process and identify any defects.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all housekeeping and safety regulations.
• Assist in the setup and changeover of production lines as required.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Record production data accurately as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying potential areas for process enhancement.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Production Operator in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proficiency in operating at least one type of production machinery (e.g., assembly line, CNC, packaging equipment).
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret production instructions and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations in a factory environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks as required, including standing for extended periods and lifting.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Willingness to work on‑site at the Mahikeng, North West manufacturing facility.
