Job summary

Tiger Brands in Brakpan, Gauteng, is looking for a production operator to support daily manufacturing targets. You will mix products according to prescribed SOPs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to batch plans.

The role involves cleaning and CIP of tanks and fillers, conducting visual inspections, coordinating with QC for swabs, recording batch data, and loading recipes from the system to align with shop floor orders. It requires strict GMP adherence and teamwork on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Mix products according to SOPs to meet the daily production plan.
• Clean mixing equipment and surrounding area per GMP and Food Safety requirements.
• CIP the tanks and fillers according to specific requirements.
• Perform visual inspections inside tanks before starting batch making.
• Inform QC to take swabs after CIP.
• Complete CIP check-sheets.
• Audit material against shop floor order and rectify discrepancies with Issuer and sign.
• Receive (batch) raw material from stores.
• Download recipes from system and load information according to the shop floor order and plan.
• Compare shop floor order with the recipes.
• Connect swing band properly to avoid contamination of products.
• Report any discrepancies to the Process Controller.
• Record the batches on the batch control book.
• Take samples of product to QC.
