Overview

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position is required to manage and implement operations systems, processes and monitoring activities for the operations of the water treatment plant. This position will be based in Emalahleni Water Reclamation Plant (EWRP), Emalahleni, South Africa.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
  • Manage production team
  • Compliance to contractual quality and quantity KPI’s
  • Ensure compliance to company and Client safety standards
  • Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives.
  • Continuous improvement and optimization of processes
  • Management of stock control
  • Monitoring and detail records and reporting on all aspects of the processes, ongoing projects
  • Ensure efficient resource management of employees to ensure they can meet the performance objectives required of them.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by delivering a professional and high-quality service.
  • Client feedback meetings and reporting.
  • Compile Monthly Plant Reports and attend client meetings
  • Monitor plant health and pro-actively intervene to ensure plant availability is optimized
  • Effective reporting to the operations manager of the area
  • Legal representation of company on site
Qualifications

Qualifications: BSc Chem Eng or S4 Chem Eng diploma

5+ years’ experience in advanced water treatment

Softening, Ultra filtration, Reverse osmosis experience

Understanding of plant health and managing water treatment assets.

Relevant management experience

Proven record of satisfactory prior performance

Computer skills: Word, Excel, data base, power point and e-mail

Good communication and Interpersonal skills

Skills in planning, attention to detail and process troubleshooting
