What you'll do
- Champion a Safety Always mindset across all operations.
- Develop and execute long‑term Sustainability roadmaps in line with Epiroc.
- Target and improve production quality through standardized processes, staff upskilling, and optimized testing procedures.
- Align operations with global production centres (PCs) for agility and customer‑centric performance.
- Develop a roadmap to achieve Epiroc Flow Level 2, targeting 5% annual productivity improvement and 30% lead‑time reduction.
- Lead automation and digital transformation to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Drive production capacity planning and forecasting in collaboration with R&D and Supply Chain.
- Design a flexible staffing strategy including subcontracting to manage market fluctuations with agility and speed.
- Build and empower a high‑performing, psychologically safe, and agile team.
- Implement strategic direction for your department, ensuring clarity of mission, communication, and accountability.
- Deliver on PC Chamdor committed targets and performance KPIs – supporting the organization with on‑time, cost‑effective and quality‑assured production.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to capture new business opportunities, optimize internal efficiencies, and support new product lines.
What you'll bring
- Proven track record in modern production management within the South African manufacturing context.
- A degree in Industrial Engineering and / or any other related qualification.
- Additional business / commercial related qualification could be advantageous.
- Strong leadership experience in production environments.
- Expertise in financial analysis, planning, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ability to thrive within a matrix organization and drive collaboration across teams.
