A well-established South African manufacturing company, known for producing high-quality plastic products, is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastic injection moulding and a proven ability to manage production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the production team to achieve daily and long-term targets.
• Conduct performance reviews, motivate employees, and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and food (product) safety on site.
• Ensure adherence to ISO and company quality standards.
• Oversee injection moulding processes, tooling, and ancillary equipment.
• Plan, monitor, and control production efficiency and quality outputs.
• Manage production reporting, administration, and workflow coordination.
• Communicate clearly with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Stay informed about global trends and technologies in plastic manufacturing.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric. National Diploma (HNDT) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. NQF 6 in Production or Operations Management (advantageous).

Minimum 5 years' experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing (FMCG) environment.

Extensive hands‑on experience in plastic injection moulding processes and machinery.

Solid leadership, planning, and people‑management skills.

Working knowledge of ISO and Quality Management Systems.

Computer literacy – MS Office (especially Excel).

Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
