Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Production Line Technician for a busy manufacturing facility in Centurion. You will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery to ensure safe, efficient output.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, reading schematics, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work with a team to hit daily targets. An NQF Level 3 or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Line Technician or in a similar technical role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Knowledge of safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Good physical stamina and dexterity.
• A relevant technical qualification (e.g., NQF Level 3 or equivalent) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery according to standard operating procedures.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical issues on the production line.
• Ensure that all products meet quality specifications through regular checks.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to achieve daily targets.
