Job description

The Production Lead oversees overall production activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely production.

This role includes developing production schedules, applying lean principles, managing warehouse operations via ERP systems, and maintaining ISO compliance.

Emphasis is placed on optimization, quality, collaborating with multiple departments, and enforcing health and safety.

Success hinges on strong team leadership, process innovation, and continuous improvement to drive both operational excellence and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

Ensure optimal utilization of resources, adherence to production schedules, and cost-control measures throughout the manufacturing process.

Apply lean inventory principles to identify and eliminate inefficiencies reducing wastage and excess stock.

Coordinate labour, equipment, and materials to optimise throughput and minimise bottlenecks.

Set and monitor budget targets for production, evaluating variances and taking corrective actions.

Manage all aspects of the warehouse, including inventory control, stock accuracy, and efficient material flow to and from the production lines.

Design efficient layouts in factory / warehouse for raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to reduce handling time.

Maintain appropriate stock levels for all materials, preventing overstocking or stock-outs.

Guarantee that all critical documents are systematically documented and accessible for compliance and quality assurance.

Implement and maintain quality control systems, ensuring products and processes meet the required standards and comply with relevant regulations (e.g., ISO standards, health and safety regulations).
