To support the production team in all aspects of blueberry cultivation and post‑harvest processes applying technical knowledge and precision agriculture methods to enhance crop quality, yield and efficiency. The Production Graduate will gain hands‑on experience in farm operations while contributing to the continuous improvement of production practices in alignment with United Exports standards and policies.
Key Performance Outputs
- Assist with all production processes relating to OZblu blueberry varieties
- Monitor plant health, identifying signs of pests, diseases and nutrient deficiencies
- Support irrigation scheduling and fertigation using precision agriculture methods
- Participate in soil, leaf and water sampling to guide crop management
- Help maintain accurate records of production activities
- Operate and maintain basic farm equipment used in blueberry production
- Learn and apply United Exports policies and procedures including those related to production quality control and managing people
- Assist with post‑harvest handling of fruit, including sorting, packing and cold‑chain management
- Collaborate with the production team to solve production challenges and improve practice
- Manage and lead a harvesting team during peak production periods
- Participate in training initiatives organized by the farm and the OZblu Academy
Requirements
Qualification / Experience
- Diploma in Agriculture (NQF Level 6)
- No prior experience required, but the graduate must have completed a 12‑18 month Work‑Integrated Learning (WIL) experience as part of their diploma studies
