Position Summary

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated Production Foreman to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must have a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field.
  • MBA or other advanced business/management qualifications (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process‑improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing large production teams and meeting operational KPIs.
  • Strong knowledge of production management software (e.g., ERP systems, Uptime production tracking system).
  • Understanding of modern manufacturing methods and continuous improvement principles.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO, etc.) and safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership and team‑building skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross‑functionally.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning & Management: Execute production schedule provided by the supply chain team and communicate any constraints; manage daily production activities to meet quantity, quality, and delivery requirements; monitor production KPIs to ensure targets are met for efficiency, cost control, and output; engage and manage under‑performing individuals; adjust schedules and workflows to accommodate changes in demand, machine availability, or staffing.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Lead and supervise production teams, ensuring adequate staffing, training, and motivation; set clear performance expectations for team members and conduct performance reviews; foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement; up‑skill employees to optimize processes; manage change management to introduce new processes; set up formal controls and procedures for operating conditions.
  • Process Optimization: Analyze current production processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement; implement lean manufacturing principles and other process‑improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency; monitor downtime, production bottlenecks, and operational inefficiencies, and devise solutions; coordinate with the engineering team to implement process changes and new technology.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to ensure all products meet internal and external quality standards; ensure that corrective actions are taken for quality issues and that production teams comply with quality control measures; maintain thorough documentation of quality control processes and improvements.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety policies and regulations are strictly followed on the production floor; conduct regular safety audits and ensure the production team is trained in safety procedures; investigate and report on any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Manage production budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled without compromising product quality; work with the supply chain team to ensure that raw materials are available at optimal costs and delivered on time; monitor equipment and labor costs, implementing strategies to reduce waste and improve profitability.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the procurement, inventory, and warehouse teams to ensure a smooth supply of materials and resources; collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that the machinery is properly maintained and any repairs are addressed promptly; communicate with demand planning teams to align production priorities.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Achievement of production targets (output, efficiency, and on‑time delivery); reduction in production costs, downtime, and waste; improvement in product quality and reduction in defect rates; safety compliance and a reduction in workplace accidents; successful implementation of process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
