Job description

The Boston Society for Architecture (BSA) advances architecture and design across Greater Boston as both a civic organization and the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). For more than 150 years, the BSA has connected architects, designers, and the public through programs, advocacy, exhibitions, and professional support—creating a vital forum where design ideas meet community needs.

The Production Coordinator supports the creation and delivery of digital content, events, and exhibitions that bring the BSA’s mission to life. You’ll keep projects running smoothly—from updating the events calendar and producing newsletters to supporting event logistics and managing creative partners.

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s organized, detail‑oriented, and excited to work at the intersection of design, storytelling, and community engagement.

What You’ll Do
  • Keep the BSA website and events calendar up to date.
  • Support email newsletters, social media, and other digital content.
  • Help plan and produce in‑person and virtual events.
  • Coordinate logistics, materials, and communication with partners and vendors.
  • Capture and organize photos, notes, and other assets from programs and events.
  • Track project timelines and help ensure deliverables are met.
  • Contribute ideas to make BSA’s public programs and content more engaging and accessible.
What We’re Looking For
  • 1–3 years of experience in communications, events, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational, writing, and communication skills.
  • Comfort with digital tools (Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, CMS platforms); design software experience (Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Interest in architecture, design, or civic engagement.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.
Compensation and Benefits

Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k) with employer match; generous paid time off; and professional development support.

Hybrid schedule: three days per week in our Boston office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and one flexible day) and two days remote.
