Job summary

A leading food manufacturer in Gauteng, Boksburg is seeking a Production Controller to oversee staff and equipment in manufacturing processes. This role requires ensuring product compliance with quality standards, and driving workplace improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have a Grade 12, Mechanical Maintenance qualification, and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience as a manufacturing Supervisor / Team leader.
• Management of subordinates with human skills.
• Experience in the mechanical maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, train, and inform staff who contribute to manufacturing products.
• Ensure manufactured products conform to standards and specifications.
• Support implementation of workplace improvement programmes.

What you will do

• Motivate, train and inform staff who by means of teamwork contribute in manufacturing products according to specifications.
• Preparation and processing equipment operate according to machine and product specifications.
• Ensuring manufactured products conform to standards and specifications.
• Workplace improvement objectives, eg 20 Keys are met; Invocoms are held according to specifications.

What you will be measured on

• Management of staff according to company policies and principles
• Maintenance and management / operation of preparation and processing equipment.
• Manufacturing products according to plan, scheduling and specifications. Support / drive implementation of workplace improvement programmes, eg 20 keys and OIM principles.

What you will bring to the table

• Grade 12
• Mechanical Maintenance qualification
• Supervisory qualification eg TMA
• Safety rules and regulations, Food Safety, Government policies on Safety Health and safety legal compliance, Project management, Risk management
• 3 years\' experience as a manufacturing Supervisor / Team leader, management of subordinates (human skills), experience in the mechanical maintenance of equipment
