Job summary

ZTE Corporation South Africa is seeking a proactive pre-sales engineer to support Core Network and RAN solution design, product selection, and technical proposals in Johannesburg. You will engage with customers, prepare RFP/RFQ responses, and coordinate across product, R&D, delivery, and commercial teams.

The role requires strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills, with an openness to learn about AI, data centers, and 5G-Advanced technologies.

Qualifications

• Background in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM preferred.
• Good understanding of telecom technologies and ICT industry.
• Proactive, open-minded, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong sense of ownership, able to work under pressure and drive collaboration across customer and internal teams.
• Passionate about learning and exploring emerging technologies, such as AI, data centers, 5G-Advanced, etc.
