Job description

The purpose of this position is to lead innovations, production excellence, and technical support across the company’s fruit categories, with a primary focus on pome fruit. This role will coordinate cultivar innovation, production improvement, and technical advisory services to enhance grower performance, product quality, and market competitiveness.

This position will require:

• A person with a BSc in Horticulture, Crop Science, Agricultural Economics or related field (a Post graduate qualification will be an advantage).
• Minimum 3 – 5 years in fruit production, cultivar development, or technical advisory roles.
• Strong agronomic and varietal knowledge (especially pome fruit).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project management and strategic thinking.
• Data-driven decision-making and reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office and agricultural software tools.

The following aspects are obligatory to the position:

• Frequent travel (local and international).
• Field-based and office-based work.
• Occasional weekend and after-hours work.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
