As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving market research, product lifecycle management, and business case development, while collaborating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure long‑term success.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field (Essential)
- MBA or Postgraduate qualification (Advantageous)
- 510 years total experience, with at least 23 years as a Sales Manager and subsequent experience in Product Management
- Exposure to Sub‑Saharan African markets is highly advantageous
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product strategies tailored for Sub‑Saharan markets
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and regional opportunities
- Formulate and present business cases to senior stakeholders for product investment decisions
- Define and implement pricing and positioning strategies to optimise market competitiveness
- Manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to market launch and ongoing improvements
- Partner with cross‑functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D) to align strategies and deliver results
- Provide insights and reporting on product performance, profitability, and growth opportunities
ERP & Systems Exposure
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (SAP, Salesforce, or similar) would be advantageous
