Duties & Responsibilities
- Promote the sale of computer hardware and software, services and cloud effectively and efficiently to customers via telephone and email.
- Professionally and efficiently manage customer telephonic and email engagement, with a view to maximizing sales and increasing partner delight.
- Drive sales to meet individual and team targets monthly, quarterly and annual gross profit target.
- Quote and provide accurate pricing and product information to customers within SLA timeframes.
- Drive deal registrations and motivate for discounts from vendor to quote.
- Empower partners to register deals.
- Support customers and team members as and when required, with their associated database of clients (telephonic, order placing, quoting, delivery, POD's, queries, payments, information etc.).
- Work closely with product sales specialists, technical sales specialists, operations and debtors (resolve queries, encourage early payments) and logistics (ensure fastest possible order processing) to resolve matters and communicate on prospective deals.
- Adhere to professional telephone and email etiquette guidelines.
- Attend training weekly to continuously improve product knowledge, as well as attend vendor and customer events on an ongoing basis.
- Backorder follow-up and executing of queries including offering alternatives (cross and upselling).
- Update CRM / Tools to ensure customer detail accuracy and allow for proactive marketing.
- Skillful price negotiation using system tools available (ERP and vendor system).
- Manage the sourcing and delivery of products to the customer, and provide after sales support.
- Generate interest in products, keeping customers informed of new programs, enrollments, product development, tools, platforms and IT innovation opportunities.
- Work in a team environment and be able to use own initiative.
- Report on lost deals with reasons and pending deals (pipeline).
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric pass with exemption (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years sales experience (essential)
- Relevant degree/diploma (optional)
- MS Office Suite (Intermediate – essential, especially Excel)
- Knowledge of CRM, ERP and vendor systems (preferred)
