Job summary

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Providing support to the operations in reducing the total cost of ownership of products and services purchased by the Procurement Department.
  • Providing support to the Business Unit Manager in the planning and execution of high‑value, high‑risk commodity and service strategies.
  • Interpret and apply, with the assistance of a Legal Team, the various provisions of the contracts within the portfolio.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs and tenders, analyse responses, prepare comparative analysis of offers received, and make commercial recommendations.
  • Work with Category Manager in drawing up supply and service contracts ensuring minimal risk to operations with continuity and security of supply and services.
  • Perform financial calculations that assist in determining the best commercial decision.
  • Manage relationships with key customers and ensure delivery in accordance with SLAs.
  • Develop and execute negotiating strategies in terms of the various contract activities.
  • Interact across all departments of internal operations as well as the supply chain.
  • Apply industry knowledge to assigned product categories to support sourcing strategy and negotiations.
  • Manage performance review of employees.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Supply Chain / Logistic Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Warehouse and Procurement Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years contract management, procurement, and project management experience in supply chain environment.
  • Experience in a Supply Chain environment within the Engineering Manufacturing Industry.
  • Demonstrate strong management, financial and negotiating attentiveness.
  • Be an assertive self‑starter who can plan, administer, organise, and pay attention to detail in both daily operational activities as well as in a project management environment.
  • Exhibit excellent English oral and written communication skills.
  • Advanced computer literate particularly in MS Office suite.
  • Advanced experience in Syspro ERP application.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Be able to work under pressure and align with the deadlines and requirements of the operations and have excellent numerical skills.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours on an ad hoc basis.
  • Experience in the area of "On‑Site Work and Services".
