This role is critical for ensuring the consistent and cost-effective acquisition of essential raw materials required for production. You will be responsible for strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, negotiation, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support manufacturing demands. This is a key position for an experienced procurement professional looking to make a significant impact within a manufacturing-focused organization in the heart of Gauteng , driving efficiency and reliability in the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, procure, and manage a wide range of raw materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms from global and local suppliers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key raw material suppliers, including performance monitoring and contract management.
• Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and potential supply chain risks, recommending proactive measures.
• Collaborate closely with production, R&D, and logistics teams to forecast material needs and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and company policies related to raw material procurement.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or Buyer, with a strong focus on raw materials in a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of raw material markets, sourcing strategies, and supplier negotiation techniques.
• Strong analytical skills for cost analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment.
• Experience with supply chain planning and inventory management systems.
