Job summary

Eskom Generation, Medupi Power Station invites applications for an Officer Procurement to provide efficient procurement of goods and services within budget and in line with procurement policies, at Lephalale (Lephalale).

The role requires a National Diploma in Commerce/Logistics & Supply Chain Management, spend analysis, contract management and strong negotiation skills to support timeous deliveries and cost control.

Qualifications

• Spend analysis and supplier profiling
• Procure-To-Pay process knowledge

• Knowledge of NEC/FIDIC contracts and Forex

Responsibilities

• Execute integrated sourcing and procurement processes and follow prescribed procedures towards fulfilling procurement needs.
• Execute purchases of goods and services and manage procurement administration.
• Negotiate and coordinates conclusion of agreements with suppliers to meet customer expectations.
• Perform dual adjudication of tenders and management of contracts/ purchase orders within set policies and standards.
• Access and analyse procurement information independently.
• Use discretion to manage problems/risks and make recommendations timeously.
• Build and maintain healthy interpersonal and inter-team relationships
