PROCUREMENT OFFICER

Our client is looking to employ a Procurement Officer – this key role is responsible for ensuring that materials, products and services are procured cost‑effectively and delivered on time to meet production and operational demands.

The successful candidate will maintain supplier relationships, manage order cycles and ensure strict adherence to procurement policies and quality standards.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day procurement activities
  • Ensure timely and cost‑effective purchasing of materials and components
  • Monitor stock levels and reorder materials based on production forecasts
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts and payment terms with suppliers
  • Maintain an updated supplier database and ensure documentation is complete
  • Coordinate closely with production and operations to align supply with demand
  • Generate weekly procurement and inventory reports
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and budget controls
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in procurement
  • Preferable knowledge of vendor management and procurement software
  • Excellent negotiation, coordination and communication skills
  • Understanding of inventory planning and just‑in‑time procurement
  • Relevant qualification in Logistics, Procurement or Business Management will be advantageous
