Takealot.com, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a highly talented Procurement Officer to join our team in our Cape Town Warehouse. The position reports to the DC Finance and Admin Manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the packaging procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Monitor packaging inventory levels and compile quarterly/monthly forecasts to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
• Audit that all purchased goods meet quality standards and specifications.
• Keep records of the monthly supplier meetings performance scorecards.
• Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate key procurement insights (usage, spend per item/supplier).
• Compile dashboards/reports for management.
• Collaborate with packaging controllers to ensure efficiency in packaging department.
• Create Purchase Orders and ensure all payments are made on time to suppliers.
• Compile monthly packaging reports.
• Assist with month end financial reporting: analyse general ledger accounts and posting journals.
• Assist with budget compilations.
• Assist with RFP and RFQ processes during sourcing of new suppliers/business.
• Update daily dashboards for management.
• Capture weekly ad-hoc invoices.
• Assist with ad-hoc team responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience within a Warehouse/Supply Chain environment.
• B-Comm, Degree in Procurement Management or Cost & Management Accounting.
• Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders.
