Job summary

Frogg Recruitment represents a manufacturing client in Boksburg/Johannesburg seeking a Procurement Manager with 5+ years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing. The role requires import/export expertise and hands-on leadership of sourcing, purchasing, contracting and supplier performance.

You will manage import/export logistics, pricing, costing and terms within ERP systems, and ensure compliance with budgets and procurement procedures.

Qualifications

• Procurement/Supply Chain degree required.
• 5+ years’ experience as Procurement Manager in engineering/manufacturing.
• Manufacturing experience from an engineering perspective is essential.
• Must have imports and exports experience.
• Manufacturing of tools, equipment and spare parts experience.
• Experience with SAGE and Procurement CRM/Software.
• Maintain the integrity of the financial/ERP system (e.g., Evolution) for pricing, costing and supplier terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement Function - manage sourcing, purchasing, contracting, and supplier performance.
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures, financial controls, and budgets.
• Operate in line with directives from Head of Finance/Group Operations Director.
• Act as primary contact between the company and suppliers of goods, services, and capital items.
• Deliver cost-effective, quality procurement to support manufacturing output.
• Prepare, issue and adjudicate RFQs and RFPs for local and international supply.
• Manage import and export logistics, customs clearance (SARS), FX exposure and cross-border supplier compliance.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the Procurement Function - Manage the full sourcing, purchasing, contracting, and supplier performance cycle
• Ensure compliance with approved procurement procedures, financial controls, and budgets
• Operate in line with directives from the Head of Finance/Group Operations Director
• Act as the primary point of contact between the company and its suppliers of goods, services, and capital items
• Deliver cost-effective, quality-assured, and timely procurement to support manufacturing output
• Prepare, issue and adjudicate Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for both local and international supply.
• Manage import and export logistics, customs clearance (SARS), foreign-exchange exposure and cross-border supplier compliance (including inbound and outbound documentation, certificates of origin and SADC / EU / Asia origin rules);
