Job summary

A staffing agency in Cape Town is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement cycle, maintain supplier relationships, and oversee stock control. The ideal candidate has a Degree in Procurement or Finance, 3-5 years of relevant experience, and is proficient in Microsoft Excel. This full-time role requires strong analytical skills and knowledge of South African procurement compliance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement costing or inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of import/export processes and landed costing.
  • Knowledge of South African procurement compliance (CPA, NCA, B-BBEE, SANS) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full procurement cycle sourcing negotiating and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate landed costings for local and imported goods.
  • Monitor pricing trends exchange rates and cost variances to support budgeting.
  • Oversee stock control ensuring accurate records correct stock levels and timely replenishment.
  • Conduct regular stock takes investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Generate reports on procurement savings stock turnover and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with operations finance and sales teams to ensure seamless supply chain flow.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement Supply Chain Management or Finance.
  • Minimum 35 years of experience in procurement costing or inventory management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP / inventory systems.
  • Strong understanding of import / export processes and landed costing.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of South African procurement compliance (CPA NCA B-BBEE SANS) is an advantage.
