Duties & Responsibilities
Procurement & Supply Chain Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies and departmental policies.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective pricing, high quality, and timely delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date and compliant supplier contracts and agreements.
- Conduct risk management on procurement activities and supplier performance.
- Oversee customs, freight forwarding, and import / export logistics.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Collaborate with sales, production, design, and purchasing teams to align forecasts and production schedules.
- Maintain and update the master production schedule based on demand and material availability.
- Analyze sales orders against inventory and adjust plans accordingly.
- Plan replenishment and ensure adequate stock for high-demand items.
- Integrate sales orders with production plans to meet customer delivery deadlines.
Inventory & Materials Management
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, stock accuracy, and wastage.
- Coordinate stock counts and ensure accuracy of physical inventory.
- Implement effective material planning and sourcing processes.
- Report on inventory movement and material requirements during production meetings.
Stakeholder & Customer Management
- Act as liaison between procurement, sales, and production departments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with customs and bond store regulations.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Lead departmental KPIs and performance analysis.
- Develop and present supply chain and forecasting reports.
- Drive continuous improvement within procurement and planning functions.
- Identify training needs and ensure development of team members.
Qualifications & Experience
- National Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Project Management.
- Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, or planning.
- At least 4 years in a management role.
- Strong background in material and demand planning, sourcing, and supplier management.
- Knowledge of customs, import / export, and freight forwarding.
- Advanced MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP systems (Pastel, Omni Accounts, or similar).
- Sound understanding of ISO 9001 and Health & Safety compliance requirements.
