Introduction
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement and Logistics Officer to support our client’s C&I solar EPC operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement and logistics process for solar and battery storage projects. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that materials and services are sourced efficiently and delivered on time to project sites.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for solar PV and related equipment.
- Place purchase orders for materials and services, ensuring accuracy of quantities, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate local and international logistics, including freight, customs clearance, and transport to sites.
- Track and update delivery schedules, ensuring timely receipt of equipment aligned with project timelines.
- Keep the master bill of materials up to date with the latest products and suppliers.
- Match sales orders, invoices, and purchase orders to ensure products are supplied and delivered correctly.
- Ensure the latest prices of stock items are kept up to date in the inventory system, and verify that item descriptions and SKUs are correct and current.
- Maintain supplier relationships and an up-to-date supplier database.
- Monitor and manage stock levels for materials and spare parts.
- Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, including invoices, delivery notes, and customs documents.
- Liaise with project teams to align procurement activities with construction schedules.
- Assist with plant hire, warehousing arrangements, and equipment offloading when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical), or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement and logistics within the renewable energy, electrical, or construction sectors.
- Experience handling procurement and logistics for technical equipment, ideally solar PV and battery components.
- Understanding and knowledge of products and services used in commercial solar, battery, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with procurement or inventory management systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and customs processes is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license.
