The Procurement Analyst acts as the strategic and analytical engine driving efficiency across IT and Network Infrastructure domains. This role serves as the central hub connecting technical teams (IT, Network Engineering, Tech Ops), business functions (Finance, Legal, Risk), and external suppliers to optimize costs, mitigate vendor risks, and execute sourcing strategies.

1. Core Mission

To transform complex financial, contractual, and technical data into actionable procurement strategies that maximize the value of technology investments while minimizing supplier risk.

2. Key Responsibility Pillars & Deliverables

• Data Architecture: Build category dashboards and visibility reports to track spend concentration and dependencies.
• Forecasting & Demand: Conduct demand analysis to forecast future capacity needs and monitor savings realization.
• Strategic Deliverable: Provide deep-dive analysis on the 80/20 split (identifying the top 20% of suppliers that account for 80% of the total spend) to optimize supplier consolidation.
• Bid Evaluation: Build complex supplier comparison and financial evaluation models for RFxs.
• Negotiation Intel: Arm the procurement team with fact-based, data-driven insights to leverage during vendor negotiations.
• Key Deliverables: Sourcing strategy documents, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models, and executive procurement recommendations.
• Business Case Modeling: Evaluate investment proposals by developing robust cost-benefit frameworks.
• Financial Gatekeeping: Validate supplier pricing models and track actual contract spend against corporate budgets.
• Core Methodologies: Apply advanced financial metrics including NPV (Net Present Value), ROI, Payback Period, Inflation Impact, and Scenario Planning.
• Commercial Review: Audit commercial terms, pricing schedules, and contract utilization metrics.
• Lifecycle Management: Proactively track contract milestones, upcoming renewals, and compliance obligations.
• Technology Focus Areas: Software licensing (SaaS), Managed Services, Cloud consumption (AWS/Azure/GCP), Network hardware, and Framework agreements.
• Supplier Rationalization: Identify overlapping tools or services to support vendor consolidation programs.
• Market Benchmarking: Continuously benchmark historical costs against shifting market standards to trigger renegotiations.

3. Stakeholder Ecosystem

The incumbent must navigate a matrixed corporate environment, translating technical needs into commercial terms for senior leadership:

• Executive Leadership: CIO, CTO, and Head of GSSC (Group Procurement).
• Technical Teams: Network Engineering and Technology Operations.
• Governance & Control: Finance, Legal, Risk & Compliance, and Fit2Win (internal optimization/transformation program).
• External Ecosystem: Third-party Technology and Network Suppliers.
