Job summary

A reputable procurement firm in Killarney Gardens, Cape Town is seeking a Procurement Administrator to manage vendors and procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a Matric, preferably a degree in Supply Chain Management, and 2-3 years of experience. Procurement Administrator (Hardware Equipment / Industrial Supplies) POS

Area: Killarney Gardens, Cape Town

Salary: R per month

Qualifications
  • Matric / Grade 12 (NQF 4) is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree / B.Tech in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years experience as a procurement clerk and/or procurement administrator in a wholesale or retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, policies and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with an ERP system is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and update a database of approved vendors, establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, conduct market research, evaluate proposals, negotiate terms and secure competitive pricing.
  • Procurement Process Management: Ensure timely & accurate processing of purchase orders, monitor & track orders to ensure timely delivery, negotiate prices for cost savings, assist in developing procurement policies, ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Compliance Documentation: Maintain accurate procurement records, prepare reports and analysis, ensure proper documentation for audit.
  • Cost Control: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, provide support and guidance, resolve procurement-related issues.
