What You Will Enjoy Doing
  • Material Planning & Procurement: Determine material demand based on production plans and stock levels, issue monthly requirements, and place purchase orders with suppliers.
  • Supplier & Purchasing Management: Maintain relationships with existing suppliers, evaluate new sources, and coordinate with Corporate Purchasing on vendor data, pricing, approvals, and performance tracking (e.g., supplier scorecards, BEE compliance).
  • Inbound & Administrative Support: Manage inbound deliveries, resolve discrepancies in delivery, purchase orders, and invoicing, and administer master data for suppliers and materials (raw materials, colors, additives).
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare monthly material demand forecasts and compile corporate resin data updates.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze data and processes to support cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all materials, packaging, and services meet occupational health, safety, environmental, and food safety standards.
  • Other Duties: Handle indirect procurement when required and carry out ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Head of Procurement.
What makes you great
  • Diploma with 2-3 years of procurement experience within a manufacturing company
  • A good understanding of operational procurement, procurement systems and processes, including good supplier relationship management.
  • Negotiation skills and good communication skills with people inside and outside the organization are required
  • Ability to organize diverse information, analyse and resolve disputes
  • Strong understanding of factors that influence manufacturing cost and quality of operations is preferred
