Job summary

A recruitment agency in South Africa is seeking a candidate for a maintenance role in Gqeberha. The position requires ensuring production outputs are met and conducting maintenance on machinery. Qualifications

Job description

• Ensuring production outputs are achieved. By ensuring reliable plant and equipment
• Carrying out maintenance activities.
• Ensuring maintenance and service of machinery and moulds by fully using planned maintenance allowance.
• Ensuring the filling out completion of production logs, mould cards and job cards.
• Attending to breakdowns.
• Contributing towards achieving raw material wastage below minimum level.
• Identification and achievement of measurable technical and process developments and improvements.
• Manage the running of engineering stores.
• Controlling spares usage and costs.
• Good housekeeping and keeping workshop & spares stores neat and tidy
• Receiving moulds and trim tooling from Mould Controller and returning same in good order after the production run
• Planning mould services in conjunction with the Mould Controller
• Ordering all spares and consumables up to a pre-agreed value
• Controlling spending inside of the budget for technical expenses and equipment including the control of consumables.
• Maintaining standards in accordance with ISO quality system and the Golden rule principles and practices.

Qualifications and experience:

• N3 + trade minimum (N4 or higher preferred)
• Urola or Uniloy experience ideal (2 years +)
• Injection or blowmoulding experience
• Able to speak English and Afrikaans advantageous
