Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to enhance operational efficiency at our East London facilities. You will analyze current manufacturing and operational processes, identify bottlenecks and waste, and implement Lean/Six Sigma improvements in collaboration with production teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering and at least 3 years in process improvement, with strong analytical and communication skills for on-site teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in process improvement/industrial engineering.
• Experience with Lean principles and tools (5S, Kaizen, VSM) is required.
• Six Sigma knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current processes to identify bottlenecks and waste.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean/Six Sigma.
• Create SOPs and work instructions for improved processes.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows.
• Collaborate with production staff and engineers to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs related to process efficiency, quality and cost and report progress.

About the Role

This role is critical for analyzing existing manufacturing and operational processes, identifying areas of waste and inefficiency, and implementing effective solutions. You will work closely with production teams, quality control, and management to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to high standards. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current manufacturing and operational processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Design and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for improved processes.
• Conduct time and motion studies to optimize workflows and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with production staff and engineers to troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to process efficiency, quality, and cost, and report on progress.

Requirements
