A renowned Cosmetics Company is looking for a Process Engineer: Operations to join their team on a full-time permanent basis for their offices in Bellville, Cape Town.

About the job

Our client is seeking an experienced Process Engineer: Operations to support their company by analysing, designing, and improving business processes across our operations.

This is a pivotal role that will report directly to the Chief Operations Officer and this role will work as a neutral facilitator with managers and teams to eliminate waste, strengthen workflows, and embed continuous improvement.

You will ensure efficiency, scalability, and sustainability of operations while driving measurable business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. Project Management certification (Prince2, Agile, PMP) is an advantage.
  • Experience in process engineering, continuous improvement, or operations excellence, ideally within FMCG, supply chain, or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional process improvement and project delivery
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and related methodologies (Green Belt minimum; Black Belt advantageous).
  • Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and data-driven problem solving.
  • Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills
  • Project management certification (Prince2, Agile, or PMP) beneficial.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and focused on delivering measurable, sustainable improvements.

Key Performance Areas>

  • Map, analyse, and document business processes across departments.
  • Identify bottlenecks and redesign processes to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Facilitate workshops and co-design sessions with managers and teams.
  • Establish and track baseline data to measure before-and-after improvements.
  • Deliver process improvement projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and digitisation opportunities.
  • Drive adoption of new processes through training, coaching, and change management.Maintain live dashboards, risk registers, and governance for process initiatives.
