Placements24 is seeking a proactive Compliance Officer to join its legal and compliance team in Benoni, Gauteng. You will build and monitor a robust compliance program, conduct risk assessments, and guide staff on regulatory matters to ensure full adherence to FICA, POPIA, and the Companies Act.

Ideal candidates have a law or commerce degree, at least 5 years in compliance or risk, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of implementing effective controls in a dynamic

• Relevant degree in Law, Commerce, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in compliance, legal, or risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of SA regulatory frameworks (FICA, POPIA, Companies Act).
• Strong analytical abilities and ability to interpret regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to develop and implement compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the company's compliance framework and policies.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments across all business functions.
• Monitor changes in legislation and advise on adjustments.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance topics.
