Introduction

Our client in the Real Estate and Hospitality industry is currently looking for a Pro Shop Assistant, in Tyger Valley, Pretoria.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist with all golf-related activities at the Club.
  • Support with green fees, golf bookings, members’ events, tournaments, visitors’ golf, sales, member engagement, merchandise, and entertainment.
  • Marshal and start — ensuring smooth tee‑off flow and course order.
  • Perform course setup for competitions and members’ days.
  • Operate computer systems effectively for bookings, check‑ins, and administration.
  • Check in golfers before tee‑off and manage the first tee area.
  • Answer phone calls and assist golfers with bookings and queries.
  • Conduct course inspections and liaise with the greenkeeping team.
  • Open and close Pro Shop and clubhouse facilities.
  • Communicate professionally with members, enhancing their overall club experience.
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a welcoming and vibrant club atmosphere.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Matric.
  • 2+ years of experience in a golf environment (advantageous).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work on computer systems with confidence.
  • Good knowledge of golf operations, rules, and terminology.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
