Job description

Our client is seeking a Privacy Specialist to join their team and help drive the delivery of our privacy programme. As a Privacy Specialist you'll be supporting the delivery of the privacy programme across the business by supporting the Privacy Operations Team Lead and the Group Privacy Operations & Projects Manager in managing data subject rights requests in line with applicable data protection legislation.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a specialist in handling customer data protection requests and complaints.
  • Provide first-line support for customer data protection queries.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to provide requested personal data in support of data subject rights requests.
  • Manage escalations, process improvements, and service optimisation.
  • Oversee day-to-day processing of data subject access requests, erasure requests, and other data subject rights requests within regulatory timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate logs and software systems supporting data subject requests.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to senior management.
  • Carry out general administrative tasks, including handling customer deletion requests.
  • Support the Privacy Operations Team Lead in documenting processes, procedures, templates, reporting, and training material.
  • Assist with privacy-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Law (or related field).
  • 2+ years' experience in Data Privacy, Compliance, or Risk Management.
  • Experience using privacy management platforms.
