Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Data Privacy, Compliance or Risk Management
- Experience with Privacy management platforms
- Familiarity with global privacy laws (GDPR, POPIA, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Being a specialist in triaging customer data protection data subject rights requests and data protection complaints
- Providing first line response and support for customer data protection queries and complaints
- Co‑ordination of supporting teams in the provision of requested personal data, in support of data subject requests
- Co‑ordination of supporting teams in the management of escalations, process improvements and the optimisation of the service
- Day‑to‑day management and output of the data subject access request process, requests for erasure and all other data subject rights requests within the regulatory timeframe(s)
- Maintaining the appropriate logs and software supporting requests for all data subject requests including the right of deletion and the right of access
- Appropriately escalating any issues or queries via the appropriate channels to Senior Management
- Undertaking general administrative tasks including dealing with customers' requests for deletion
- Supporting the Privacy Operations Team Lead to document processes, procedures, templates, reporting, and training material regarding data subject rights requests
- Supporting the Privacy Specialist Team Lead and the Group Privacy Operations Manager with any projects or initiatives
