Job description

Our Client in the Packaging and Recycling Industry is seeking to employ a Printing Stereo / Plate - Issuer & Repairer to their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Primary objective of role : Maintain and store stereos in good condition.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • Qualification in Graphic Design or similar discipline (advantageous).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the corrugated or printing industry.
  • Accurate measuring skills to size cartons for application.
  • Knowledge of paper and board specifications and characteristics.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proactive, responsible, and reliable.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Able and willing to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Maintain and store stereos in good condition.
  • Maintain accurate system records.
  • Check and clean stereos regularly.
  • Provide daily feedback on the condition of stereos.
  • Ensure stereos are available on time for production according to the daily schedule.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the department.
  • Collaborate with the graphic designer on jobs and projects.
  • Comply with all quality, safety, and environmental procedures.
  • Work within ISO system parameters.
