Job summary

Bioforum in South Africa is expanding its Statistical Programming department and seeks experienced Statistical Programmers to join the team in Bloemfontein. You will contribute to high-quality output for impactful clinical trials and lead programming activities in a collaborative environment, with oncology trial experience a strong advantage.

The role involves leading teams, ensuring quality and validation of statistical outputs, creating and reviewing SDTM/ADaM specifications, and programming

Qualifications

• B.Sc degree in Life/Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Statistical Programmer.
• Knowledge of CDISC SDTM and/or ADaM standards.
• Excellent communication skills; oncology or leadership experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical programming teams to deliver on projects and communicate directly with the sponsor.
• Oversee and/or be responsible for the quality and validation of statistical output produced.
• Create or review SDTM and/or ADaM dataset specifications.
• Program and/or validate SDTM and ADaM datasets, and TLFs.
• Provide guidance and input on the statistical programmer requirements and queries during the conduct of the trial.

Required Skills:

• B.Sc degree in Life / Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a Statistical Programmer. Experience leading a team will be an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of either CDISC SDTM and/or ADaM standards.
• Advanced knowledge of SAS, including SAS Macros.
• Proven ability to program medium- to high complexity statistical output.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Prior oncology experience and/or team leadership experience is advantageous.
