Santam, South Africa's leading general insurer, seeks an Actuarial Analyst in Personal Lines Pricing to turn data into insights that guide profitable growth. You will work with Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Pricing teams to design pricing solutions and improve risk understanding.

The role offers exposure to cutting-edge analytical methods, development of pricing strategies, and meaningful business impact across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Honours degree in Actuarial Science or similar. Progress towards actuarial qualification.
• 1–2 years working experience, preferably in general insurance pricing.
• Advanced computer literacy in SAS, SQL, R, Python, Emblem, Radar, etc.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills including statistical analysis and pricing models.
• Proven ability to source, structure, and manage data to derive insights.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial models and analyses to support business objectives.
• Design pricing and risk management strategies to drive growth and profitability.
• Monitor financial, underwriting, and distribution performance and produce actionable reports and visuals.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement in pricing workflows.
• Collaborate with Distribution, Claims, Underwriting and Product teams to inform pricing decisions.
